Nua Medical Spa, founded by Dr Anna Magee, is the aesthetics studio of Charlottesville Dermatology, an award-winning dermatology practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. Originally part of the main practice, Nua adopted its own identity in 2018. Besides many aesthetic treatments, the spa is a dispensary for specialized skin products developed by the large and accomplished team of dermatologists.
The center of focus in the spa is its unique view to an adjacent forest. The changing light qualities of the forest is the changing art brought into the soft, cloud-like, atmosphere of the spa.
Backlit white glass walls break for openings lined in white oak that highlight reception, thresholds to the treatment rooms and product displays. Floating in the middle of the waiting lounge is the dispensary island where featured products may be laid out for clients by an aesthetician.
Metal to glass, plaster to metal, details throughout transition between materials softly while the wood details pop out as important moments that draw the eye to key features such as the products and the staff.
